Backyard birthday parties are our bread and butter — but some of our most memorable jobs have been school field days, church carnivals, neighborhood block parties, and community fundraisers. If you're planning an event for 50+ kids, here's what's different about multi-unit rentals and how to make them work.
Why Multi-Unit Rentals Exist
A single inflatable — even our 45-foot obstacle course — can comfortably handle 10–15 kids at a time with reasonable wait times. Once your crowd grows beyond 50 kids, that means long lines and frustrated kids.
The solution is staging multiple units so different age groups have their own activity running simultaneously. A typical larger event setup:
- Obstacle Course for older kids (ages 8+)
- Rainbow Castle or Dual Slide Combo for mid-range ages (5–8)
- Sports Bouncer or Pink Celebration Bouncer for the littles (2–5)
This isn't just about entertainment — it's about crowd management. Three units running means three separate queues, which means the event flows naturally without a bottleneck.
What We Need to Know
Multi-unit events require more planning lead time than backyard birthdays. When you reach out, be ready to share:
1. Event date and location — Parks, school grounds, and church parking lots each have different surface, power, and access considerations. We'll need to walk the site or get dimensions in advance.
2. Expected attendance — Rough count is fine. Are we talking 50 kids or 200?
3. Power access — Each inflatable runs its own blower. For 3 units, you need 3 accessible outlets. If your venue doesn't have reliable power access, a generator is available to add to your reservation.
4. Event duration — All of our rentals are priced by the day, so there's no additional cost for longer events within the same day. The only add-on that varies with duration is attendant pricing.
5. Attendant needs — For large public events, we strongly recommend adding one of our on-site attendants per inflatable to manage queues, enforce rules, and keep things running safely.
6. Insurance — We carry our own liability insurance. If your venue requires you to be added to our policy as an additional insured for the day, we offer that for $49.99. It's a simple add-on you can include when booking — just let us know.
Nonprofit and School Pricing
We work with schools, nonprofits, and churches regularly. We believe in supporting the communities we live in, and we have flexible pricing for qualifying organizations. Reach out directly and we'll work with you.
The Logistics of a Large Setup
For a 3-unit event like a school carnival, expect our team to arrive 2–3 hours before the event opens for setup. Teardown typically takes 1–1.5 hours after the event ends.
We'll coordinate the full setup sequence so the units are inflated, staked, and safety-checked before a single kid steps foot on them.
Bundles & Custom Packages
For multi-unit events, our bundles offer better pricing than booking units individually. Browse our available bundles at pointeshorespartypros.com — and if you don't see the combination you're looking for, reach out and we'll work with you to put together a custom package that fits your event and your budget.
For multi-unit events, book at least 4–6 weeks in advance. Large events require us to block multiple units simultaneously, and peak summer weekends can fill out months ahead.
